Cambridgeshire County Council and Highfield Ely Academy are working together to develop  proposals for the extension of the Academy to include a gym, hydrotherapy pool with changing facilities and additional school accommodation in line with current Department for Education guidance .

Highfield Ely Academy highly values its rewarding relationship with the local community. The school and the project team would therefore like to invite residents and members of the community to attend its public consultation event, and would very much welcome your views on the draft proposals as part of the ongoing development of the scheme, ahead of submission of a formal planning application, which is currently scheduled November 2018.

Cambridgeshire County Council, RG Carter and the Architects, Atkins SNC Lavalin, will be pleased to discuss the design proposals with you and would welcome any comments that you may have.

We hope you can make it and look forward to discussing considerations and opportunities for the future of the Academy with you.  Should you be unable to attend the event you can review the proposals on the schools website from the 1st of November 2018 and leave comments by emailing feedback.highfield@rgcarter.co.uk up until the 16th of November 2018. The proposals will also be displayed at the school from the 1st of November 2018, where the opportunity to leave feedback will also be provided until the 16th of November 2018.

Subject to a satisfactory planning process, it is intended that the construction work will commence in Spring 2019, with a view to occupying the new building during the 2020/2021 Academic Year.
