Strong Ofsted outcome for teacher training programme

We’re delighted to share that Active Learning Trust’s partners, Ambition Institute, have received a ‘strong’ rating from Ofsted across all areas and phases of their Initial Teacher Training programme.

We work in partnership with Ambition Institute to deliver our Teacher Training and many of our schools and mentors were involved firsthand in the inspection.

In the report, Ofsted recognised many strengths, including the impact of our programme leadership,  expertise and commitment.

The report makes clear that the vision we have for the programme is “universally embedded across all programme aspects” because of the way we work together, with everyone “doing their utmost to enact the provider’s aims”.

Staff and trainees spoke positively about the support and training they receive, including for wellbeing and workload saying they are “well supported from leaders and staff at all levels of the provider, including those at training partners and placement schools.”
