Neale-Wade Academy supports local food bank

School News / 19 Dec

Neale-Wade Academy was proud to donate boxes of groceries and goodies to those in need this Christmas.

Staff and students took part in a Christmas jumper day last week, donating items for the March Food Bank as part of the festive day.

A range of goods were collected, such as tinned food, pasta and rice.

Charity Prefects at Neale-Wade then sorted all the items and boxed them up in boxes and crates ready for collection.

Staff from March Food Bank came to the school in their van on Monday to pick up the donations.

“We are very pleased to be able to play our part as a school in supporting those families in our local community who are struggling this Christmas.

Our Charity Prefects did an excellent job of sorting through the donated items, making sure they were all neatly packed ready for collection.

We hope our support helps to bring some comfort and cheer over the festive season.”
Samantha Bathurst, Assistant Principal

“The generosity and kindness shown by our whole school community for this collection has been fantastic. I would like to thank all our staff, students and their families for their generosity and goodwill this Christmas.”
