Neale-Wade Academy hosts inspiring careers fair
Students from Year 7 to sixth form at Neale-Wade Academy recently attended the school’s annual careers fair.
The school was very pleased that so many local businesses attended, including G’s Fresh, Ivy Reign Hair Beauty and Metal Craft, with each business providing students with exciting, practical experiences as a taster of life as an apprentice in their industry.
Students also enjoyed speaking with representatives from NHS and Cambridgeshire Police, and Army and Navy stands were also very popular, inspiring interesting questions from students.
Neale-Wade's own sixth form centre and education providers including Cambridge Regional College and College of West Anglia also added to the range of options students could consider and discover. Some students particularly enjoyed the close encounter with some of College of West Anglia’s live exhibits!
Visiting businesses and organisations praised students for being very polite and engaged, with one adding that this was one of the best career fairs they have attended.
I am delighted that our careers fair has been so well attended by local employers and education providers.
They all play an important role in inspiring our students to embrace all the exciting opportunities that lay ahead for them. We are very grateful to every organisation for taking the time to speak with so many of our students and making this experience as engaging as possible.
