Kingsfield pupils perform at the O2
Members of the school choir at Kingsfield Primary School in Chatteris, part of the Active Learning Trust, travelled to London this week to sing at the O2.
The Kingsfield pupils travelled down to the capital on the train for the beginning of an unforgettable musical experience,
The highly anticipated Young Voices event saw the children perform a wide range of songs, from a mash up of the musical Wicked to a collection of sea shantys and a pop medley.
The Young Voices concerts bring together primary schools from across the UK to inspire and empower children through the joy of collective performance, offering them the opportunity to sing on one of the world’s most renowned stages.
“We were absolutely delighted to offer our pupils this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on such a prestigious stage.
For them to travel to London and sing at the world-famous O2 venue has been a fantastic adventure, helping them to build confidence, resilience and teamwork.
We hope the memories they have made and the sense of achievement they have will inspire them to pursue their musical and performing talents long into the future.”
