Albert Pye & Ravensmere celebrates Music Mark award
The Albert Pye and Ravensmere Schools Federation is delighted to have been awarded the Music Mark of Recognition for Ambition & Quality by the Norfolk and Suffolk Music Hub.
The school has been given the Music Mark in recognition of its continued dedication to the subject and the way that staff champion and support access to music for all its pupils.
This recognition highlights how the school places music at the heart of school life, ensuring the progression of skills in its music curriculum, offering additional 1:1 lessons, putting on annual productions and taking pupils to live music events and performances.
Through its Music Mark scheme, the Music Hub recognises schools that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to music education, enabling the music education sector to deliver high-quality musical and social outcomes for all children and young people.
The Music Mark of Recognition is supported through a partnership with ABRSM.
"We are very proud of the music provision that we have here at Albert Pye and Ravensmere and are fully committed to giving all our pupils the chance to develop musically.
My particular thanks goes to Mrs Kershaw and Mrs Kelly who lead the music provision across the federation; their hard work and dedication have secured this award for us.”
Louise Creed, Head teacher of Albert Pye and Ravensmere Schools Federation
“This recognition is richly deserved - congratulations to everyone at Albert Pye and Ravensmere.
Music has a unique way of bringing people together, inspiring confidence and nurturing talent, and we are delighted to see the federation embracing these values with such passion.”
