Primary school achieves Platinum School Games Mark Award
Pupils and staff from The Albert Pye and Ravensmere Schools Federation in Beccles are thrilled to be celebrating the news that they have officially achieved the prestigious Platinum School Games Mark Award.
The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme and it honours schools for their commitment to developing competitive sport within their school and community.
The platinum award is the highest national accolade available for school sports, highlighting the school’s long-term commitment to physical education, team work, and keeping children active.
To qualify for the platinum status, schools must achieve the gold award for four consecutive years.
“We are hugely proud to have won such a prestigious award. This award belongs to our incredible pupils who give 100% in every game, and of course Mr Stuart Mckenzie (HLTA) and Mrs Kate Woodrow (TA) who lead PE across the school and all our staff who give their time to take children to tournaments and sporting events.
I also want to thank our wonderful school community who support us every step of the way and everyone who helps make sport and wellbeing such a massive part of life at Albert Pye.
We will keep moving!”
