Students at Cromwell Community College and Neale-Wade Academy are celebrating after receiving their A Level/BTEC results today.
Among those deserving a special mention from Cromwell are:
- Aleena Mariya Binoy joined us from India in 2023 halfway through the academic year. We had very little knowledge of her past curricula, but we felt Aleena deserved a chance at Biology, Chemistry and Maths A level. Her spoken English at that time, by her own admission, was basic. Aleena then joined the new Year 12 cohort and adapted quickly to the English education system and her grades swiftly rose. She is now leaving us at the end of Year 13 with three C grades and has a place to study nursing at the University of Lincoln. Her journey with us has been immense and we wish her every success in the future.
- Kayla Rickwood and Ashleigh Mason both achieved A*, A*, A and are off to Durham University to study Psychology.
- Ethan Broderick is now off to read Computer Science, at the University of Surrey and achieved A, B, B.
- Katie Rae Neil has secured a degree level apprenticeship at Astra Zeneca, after achieving four A levels, including three B grades.
At Neale-Wade, the high performers included:
- Chloe who studied 3 A levels and an Extended Project. Chloe achieved the best results in the college with two A* and two A grades. Chloe is reading Psychology at Loughborough University.
- Lewis who has achieved three vocational qualifications. A Distinction* and two Distinction grades in Business and IT. Lewis is reading Computing at Nottingham Trent University.
- Poppie who has achieved three vocational qualifications. A Distinction* and two Distinction grades in Sport and Business. Poppie juggled her sporting commitments with her sixth form studies. Poppie is reading Physical Education at University of Bedfordshire.
"Well done to all our sixth formers who have achieved some excellent results - it is wonderful to see so many smiling faces in school today.
“Our wonderful Year 13s are now going on to embrace university study or have secured apprenticeships or full-time employment and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
Heather Paul, Director of Sixth Form at Cromwell Community College and Neale-Wade Academy
