Colour Run raises over £2,000

Grove Primary School in Lowestoft is celebrating after raising over £2,000 for the school and a local charity with an organised colour run.

The event was organised by the school’s PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friend Association) and saw teachers and pupils take part.

The race took place on the school field and the runners ran lots of laps.

Grove Primary’s PTFA was delighted to raise £2,202 which will be shared between the school and local charity YMCA.

A colour run is a fun run with a difference, where marshals and spectators throw buckets of brightly coloured powder at the runners.

The PTFA are overwhelmed with the support from the parents/families which enabled this event to go ahead and with the fantastic amount raised for the future events and for the Local YMCA charity. We would like to thank everyone for their support.
Clare Gowing , Leader of the School’s PTFA

“The colour run was a great success and it was fantastic to see so many of our children taking part and supporting our school and the YMCA who come in to support our children.

At Grove Primary, we want to make sure that every family is at the heart of our community and events like this are very much a part of that. We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful PTFA and all the work they do for our school.”
