Award for Hillside Primary School
Hillside Primary School is delighted to announce that it has been given the Best Practice with Teaching Assistants Award by Optimus Education.
The award, which is valid for three years, recognises the work that Hillside Primary does to invest in the skills and development of its teaching assistants.
To be eligible for this status, Hillside had to demonstrate that it recognises the expertise of teaching assistants and nurtures them to play key roles in the school.
The school had to show how it supports teaching assistants to receive guidance and information to meet pupils’ needs, ensuring that children get impactful learning.
It also had to prove that it gives these key members of staff access to continuous professional development, safeguarding and specialist training.
“We are delighted to have been given the Best Practice with Teaching Assistants Award, which highlights our genuine passion for supporting teaching assistants.
“At Hillside Primary, we are proud to recognise the valuable and increasingly complex role of teaching assistants in pupil achievement.
“We are very grateful for all the hard work and dedication that these invaluable members of staff bring to our classrooms every day, helping our pupils to achieve greatness.”
