Inspiring DSL

6 May 15:30 - 16:30 Microsoft Teams Meeting
Host: Shirley Young, Head of Safeguarding These three sessions are for any staff curious about a career pathway into Safeguarding and interested in becoming a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL (DDSL). You don’t need to have completed Advanced Safeguarding Training beforehand - some course content will cover elements of that training, so this is a great way to explore the role and its responsibilities. The programme blends practical insight with real-world examples and includes the option of a short placement with a safeguarding team in Summer Term 2. Please note that attendees on placement will not be given access to confidential pupil records. This course is intended as a safe, supportive way to dip your toe into Safeguarding so you can decide if it’s the right next step for you.
